Auto Recycling
Under Article 27 of the Special Act on the Improvement of Air Quality in the Capital Region
and Article 58 of the Clean Air Conservation Act, a subsidy is provided to scrap specific diesel vehicles
to actively induce the scrapping of polluting vehicles.
This system is managed by the capital region local governments (Seoul, Incheon, Gyeonggi)
to protect the air environment within the capital area.
Vehicles and construction machinery registered in the air management district or application area for at least 6 consecutive months based on the application date
Vehicles and construction machinery that have passed the sensory inspection according to Article 43-2 of the Automobile Management Act
Vehicles and construction machinery confirmed to be operable by association staff after being taken to a designated professional scrap business
Vehicles (including construction machinery) that have not undergone exhaust gas reduction device attachment or low-emission engine modification through government support
